This watercolor painting is from my imagination. I imagined a group of palm trees at the side of an opening in a cleared area. It was inspired by the palm trees of John Singer Sargent and Winslow Homer, two of my favorite American watercolorists. 

I am happy with the fresh, breezy feel of this watercolor.

As a five-year-old, I won my first art contest and distinctly remember the drawing I had created being used on the cover of the spring catalog for Joslyn Museum.
