Inspired by a cluster of Shasta daisies in my garden, this painting has a spirit of abundance and joy. Daisies are bobbing every which way, enhanced by the dancing leaves and foliage. The dark background sets off the complex shapes and colors of the garden. 

I painted this painting to explore how a composition changes when a very dark background is used. In addition, I was exploring how white flowers can be depicted with no paint -- just the paper.

This painting is framed, ready to hang.

As a five-year-old, I won my first art contest and distinctly remember the drawing I had created being used on the cover of the spring catalog for Joslyn Museum.
